What’s your favourite thing about modelling?
My favourite aspect of modelling would be that I get to work with different people every day in different locations. I also love the fact that I need to stay in shape and keep my skin clear and healthy - I'm so into fitness and taking care of my mind and body.
What is your best skincare recommendation to start a busy active day?
It's as simple as eating clean and keeping hydrated - as well as removing your makeup straight away and not exercising with it on. This is the worst! I believe getting a good sweat on every day is good for your skin too - as long as your wash your face straight after! And also, always wear sunscreen.
What’s your advice for feeling beautiful in your own skin?
When you are taking care of yourself, that is when you feel more confident and beautiful in your own skin. By eating clean, drinking plenty of water, exercising, meditating even for 3-5 minutes every day, and sticking to a simple skincare routine then that is when we feel good about ourselves and our skin starts to glow. We tend to stop taking care of ourselves when we become busy or stressed but it's so important to keep it up so you are always bringing your A-game!
What does a day in the life of Sakura look like?
I like to start my day with a warm glass of water and lemon as it wakes me up and hydrates me before my workout.
The earlier the workout the better, as it gives me more hours during the day and I start my day feeling energised and full of endorphins! I shower as soon as I come home so that I don't breakout and make myself breakfast before heading to either a shoot or casting/fitting. Even if I will get my make-up done professionally, I always moisturise and never leave the house without protecting my skin and giving it a bit of extra.
Day protector tinted SPF 30 is the ideal “on the go” product for me! During my days off, I give my skin a little extra attention by giving myself a mask at home. In the evenings, I do my best to remove my makeup as soon as possible, I use Avène Micellar water and eye makeup remover to remove my makeup and then cleanse my skin using the gentle milk cleanser.
